6 Easy Steps for a More Balance and Peaceful You
Hey guys. Can you believe that it is already March? Where is the time flying off to?? The march of time may find you being pulled through and fro, more stressed, unbalanced and seemingly less fulfilled with the life you are living. Don’t worry. You are not alone: for we have all been there. With these steps you can find yourself redirected to a balance and fulfilled life in no time!
STEP SIX: Just Say “No.”
Want to be totally off-balance and unfulfilled in life? Be the “Yes, man (or woman!).” No. Be aware of when you have reached your limit and do not surpass that limit by taking on that extra project at work, or being that president of a school club, or being “supermom/dad.” Just saying “No” does not apply to drugs and alcohol only. It applies to anything in life that takes away your peace of mind. Overstressing yourself not only makes you and those around you irritable, but it destroys your health, your peace and balance in life. Do not feel guilty for saying “no” when you need to say no. Just say “no” and find your balance in life again today.
STEP FIVE: Relax
by taking a vacation or just simply a “you” time. You do yourself a major dis-service by not taking a mini breather. In addition, taking a breather does not make you lazy or less productive at your task. Taking a break means you are very aware of your breaking point and strong enough to say “stop.” Relaxing does not necessarily mean going out on an extravagant trip around the world. Just take time off from your daily duties, go on a “girls night out,” “hangout with the guys,” or go on “date nights,” are just a few simple way to relax. Other examples can be immersing yourself in a bubble bath or taking a hot shower after a long days work. Do activities that you enjoy and relieves stress.
STEP FOUR: EXERCISE
Did you know that yoga is considered exercise? What is really great about yoga is that it encourages a peaceful, meditative thought process while exercising! Not only is it great for beginners, it encourages endurance, focus and peace of mind. Other form of more strenous exercises enables the one to burn off steam, strengthen the body and push harder to a higher level then before. An exercise regimen for beginners is very difficult to maintain, especially if done alone. Therefore, bring a friend; bring your spouse, and yes(!) you can even include your children into exercising with you!
STEP THREE: EAT A BALANCE DIET
Eating wholesome food that is rich in nutrients is the perfect way to maintaining a balance life. Foods that are in their most natural state, minimally processed and rich in protein, vitamins, macro and micronutrients helps to remove toxic buildup within the body, and provide sustained energy for a long days work. You don’t even need to know a thing or two about nutrititon in order to get started. There are so many blogs that provides FREE receipes and guides to healthy eating just by subscribing. Personally, I subscribe to Nicole Osinga, RD.
STEP TWO: KNOW AND LIVE OUT YOUR PURPOSE
To live a fulfilled life means you have to know your purpose and live according to it. When you know your purpose, no longer are you comparing yourself to “The Jonses.” You love what you do and are passionate about your work. You set out to make a difference in the world. You use your gift to make the world a better place. Also, your goal is not about what someone can do for you, but what you can do for them. Knowing your purpose takes time, effort and dedication. At times, you might feel like giving up or that your life is purposeless. Its not. There is a work that only you can do and it does not necessarily end with you being rich or famous. Start out with doing what you are passionate about in life and see where it takes you. Do not be afraid of the change, challanges, or naysayers along the way.
STEP ONE: TRUST IN GOD
Ultimate balance and fulfillment of life comes from knowing God and trusting in His promises. Trusting that God has nothing but the best interest in your life allows you to live life abundantly.
I hope that by saying no, relaxing, exercising, eating a balance diet, and living out your purpose as you are trusting in God your life can be balanced and fulfilled today!
